Since 1909 we've supplied printers, bookbinders, label manufacturers, engravers, fabric manufacturers and a host of other industries. Wherever foil stamping, embossing or another print embellishment is part of the job, we make the die. The industry has changed; our customers' needs remain the most important consideration.

We currently offer brass, copper, magnesium, aluminum, duplicate and counter dies. We'll work with you to achieve the best-quality die for your specifications, so additional services such as heat compensation, special depth requirements, graphic design and time restrictions are all available.
No matter what your engraving needs are, you can be sure we have the proper metal, etching and machine technique, and the technical expertise to assure you of the best-quality product.

Services that make a die work on press.
Heat compensation
Metal grows under foil-stamping heat. Tell us your press temperature and whether the image registers to print, and we'll size the die so it lands correctly at running temperature.
Special depth and bevel
Standard emboss and deboss depths are .012 and .016, with 30°, 40° and 45° bevels — but heavy stock, leather and fabric often want something else. Specify "other" and we'll cut to your number.
Counters and duplicates
Matched counters in .030 or .060 board, relieved or standard, and duplicate dies for multiple-up or multi-plant production.
Graphic design and artwork clean-up
Our in-house graphics department, running Macintosh with cross-platform capability, can clean up edges, convert type and prepare art that will hold in metal. Film output at 2540 dpi, up to 18" image width. We'll estimate design time before starting.
Registration to print
Send a press sheet with your order and we'll fit the die to your printing for a close register.
Time restrictions
24–48 hour turnaround is standard on flat dies. If you need it faster, or need a sculptured or combination die sooner than 3–5 days, call us — we'll tell you honestly what we can do.
